WE DO NOT NEED YOU TO SUPPLY US WITH PROFESSIONAL STAGEHANDS
but we will need at least six able-bodied individuals to help us load-in and load-out. Load-in starts at 08:00 the day before the first show and usually takes about four hours, but can take longer (see below). Load-out starts right after the last show and usually takes 2-3 hours. OUR OWN FOUR MEMBER PROFESSIONAL STAGE CREW WILL SUPERVISE AND ASSIST.

WHAT MAKES FOR A LONG LOAD-IN/LOAD-OUT?
Helpers that arrive late or straggle in 1 or 2 at a time. Helpers that can only work for an hour or so then leave. A venue that has not been cleaned or prepared for load-in. Obstacles in the load-in/load-out path, aisles, or lobby. A delay in getting the electricity hooked up (tied-in). No access to the venue or it is being used by someone else.

WE WILL ALSO NEED A FEW VOLUNTEERS TO HELP OUT DURING THE SHOW

TO GREET PATRONS AND HAND OUT PLAYBILLS

TO ACT AS USHERS AND TO OPERATE HOUSE LIGHTS

TO ASSIST THE ELDERLY OR HANDICAPPED

HOW MANY? Approximately one for every 100 you expect to attend. A minimum of three.

HOW LONG? All volunteers must arrive one hour before showtime to be briefed by the Stage Manager, who will assign duties. The person designated head usher and the person assigned to operate house lights will need to stay until the show is over. The rest can leave after everyone is seated and the show has begun.
