LETTERS from the FRONT
Our second World Tour reunited us with us with many old friends at installations both stateside and abroad. We were also faced with a huge void to fill. Della Cole, who had originated the role of Katharine Hartgrove and played it since LETTERS from the FRONT's inception, was unable to continue touring. Filling her shoes was not easy, but Dannette Bock rose nobely to the challenge for the stateside tour, followed overseas by Michelle Rosen, fresh from playing Christine in the Hamburg production of Phantom of the Opera. On the plus side, Neal Matthews returned for his second round as Johnny Chastain, stealing laughs and hearts at every venue. Also returning was Ted Boelt, who served as Stage Manager for the '94 tour and took over as Associate Producer for the '98 Tour, joining our stalwart Production Stage Manager Troy Dent on his second outing. Together these actors and technicians comprised an entertainment troupe of the highest caliber and character, leaving smiles in their wake.
