Moving the LFTF operations to the Washington, DC area has been a dream of Producer Marsha Roberts and Playwright/Director Robert Rector for several years. Now the dream has come true and work is underway on the new company headquarters, which will house a full size rehearsal stage, dressing rooms, scene shop, prop & costume storage, as well as administrative offices and a LFTF museum. The facility will also house our ever expanding Internet and video production operations.
Why the need for expanded facilities? While LETTERS from the FRONT will continue to tour military installations around the world for the foreseeable future, starting in fall of 2003 the production will also add civilian venues to its schedule. Now in its 12 year, demand for LETTERS from the FRONT's upbeat, patriotic and life-affirming message steadily increases -- especially after the events of Sept. 11, 2001. We are determined to meet those demands with a bigger, better and more powerfully engaging production that will be accessible not only to military communities, but to the general public as well.
