2000 World Tour

When we played Europe in 1997 it was with the Desert Storm edition of the play.  For the 2000 season, we returned to Europe (including England this time) with a new edition set against a war that left much of the continent in ruins and destroyed millions of lives: World War Two.  Many of the installations we played at were originally Nazi strongholds, surrendered to the Allies at the end of the war.  It is a land rich in the history of humankind, and haunted by memories of the most bitter conflict the world has ever known.  We crossed the English Channel from Calais to Dover with the sobering realization that beneath us lay countless Allied ships and aircraft, along with the valient men who payed so dearly for our freedom.

The 2000 season marked the first time that our overseas tour came in the middle of our stateside tour.  Speaking of the stateside tour, we made a point to visit as many new installations this season as possible, and many of these sites were training bases, which are our favorite.
